The biggest farm county we work
LaSalle is the giant. The 2022 Census of Agriculture counted 1,706 farms working 603,762 acres, with 574,703 acres of cropland — more than three times Grundy and four times Kane. The county alone accounts for roughly 2 percent of all agricultural sales in Illinois, and Illinois is the second largest corn and soybean state in the country.
It is also the most varied. The average farm is 354 acres, but 192 farms are between 500 and 1,000 acres and another 166 are over a thousand — while 404 farms are under 50. Whatever size you are farming, somebody nearby is farming very differently.

Why a drone works on this ground
The timber. LaSalle carries 12,273 acres of woodland inside its farms — more than any other county we serve, and roughly three and a half times what Grundy or DeKalb hold. That means edges. It means forties tucked behind trees, ground along the Illinois and Fox that nobody wants to bring a second machine out for, and corners a plane has to give up on. A drone treats them on the same pass at the same rate.
Scale, without the queue. Six hundred thousand acres of farmland is a lot of demand pointed at a small number of aerial applicators during a two-week fungicide window. Drones add capacity that does not depend on an airstrip or a tender truck — we work off the field edge, and when a job needs more we add aircraft.
Irrigated ground. LaSalle has 5,869 irrigated acres, the most in our service area. Irrigated corn is high-input corn, and high-input corn is where a fungicide pass has the most to protect.
